What Is Semaglutide Weight Loss?

Semaglutide, also known as (Wegovy™) is a prescription medication for managing your weight. This injection is FDA-approved and formulated to help with weight loss when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and exercise.

How Does It Work?

This medication works by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). This hormone is responsible for sending the “I’m full” signal to your brain. Semaglutide causes slowing gastric emptying. This helps you feel full earlier and stay full longer. Glycemic control and insulin sensitivity improve and help you lose excess fat.

Semaglutide Treatment Process

This injection is administered weekly. This medication is available in several doses: 0.25, 0.5, 1.7 and 2.4 mg. When you arrive for your consultation, we will discuss this treatment in depth and create an optimal treatment protocol. This will be monitored and adjusted based on your needs.
