Massage services are now available at Salt Spa & Wellness Center! Christy Getz with Studio 34 LLC provides the following massages:
30, 60, 90 & 120 Minute Massages
Swedish: This classic technique helps to relax muscles, ease joint tension, increase flexibility, stimulate nerves, boost immunity, and stabilize your mood. Book a session today and feel the relief start to wash over you.
Deep Tissue: The pressure is on! Firmer pressure and compressions target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The goal is to break up scar tissue, dissipate adhesions or “knots” and reduce inflammation in order to alleviate chronic pain, increase range of motion and improve posture.
Neuromuscular: This style is best if you experience pain, spasms, inflammation, weakness, or limited range of motion in a particular muscle, set of muscles, or joint(s). Specific focus targets trigger points in muscles, eliminate adhesions, and helps to relieve chronic pain.
For optimal results, expect to book 2-3 sessions over the course of 10 days.
Sports: Plan to run a marathon or participate in a tournament? Schedule a 30-60 min session to occur within 2 hours or 2 days preceding your event to ready muscles, increase focus and mental endurance. Schedule another longer session up to 48 hours afterwards to address muscle tightness, relieve joint soreness/fatigue, and rebalance your body and mind.
Lymphatic Drainage: Lymph fluid contains white blood cells that attack bacteria in the bloodstream and carry the waste to your liver and kidneys for final breakdown. Lymphatic massage activates production of these cells and regulates their flow throughout the body. This gentle, lighter massage technique is typically 30-60 minutes long and amount of sessions needed can vary. Session length and repetition for post-operative care stay in strict accordance with your physician’s orders/instructions.
Prenatal: Experience a soothing and restorative full body massage during this special time in your life. Relieve back and hip tension, reduce anxiety, stabilize mood, and ease insomnia. Performed after 12th week of pregnancy and through full term.
Teen: Because teens need massages too! Especially if they are involved in athletics, prolonged computer/media use, or just need a “reset” for balanced emotional and mental well-being.
Ayurvedic Head and Face Massage: Ayurveda, or Indian traditional medicine, is over 2000 years old and persists in practice around the world. The technique involves a sequence of very light, flowing motions to the scalp and face in order to loosen fascia, activate lymph fluids, and improve cerebrospinal fluid circulation. No oil or lotion used during the session. Benefits include relief from anxiety or depression, reduction or elimination of headaches, improvement in sleep, and generally quieter mind.
Reflexology: This equally relaxing technique specifically addresses energy channels, or meridians, throughout the body. These meridians are rooted in points found in the hands, feet, and ears. Benefits include boost in memory and focus, mood lift, and reduction or elimination of headaches.
